The Brown Lady is famous mostly as being one of the most reliably photographed ghost in history. Although she has not been seen since 1936, she is said to wear a long brown dress or cape. No one knows who the Brown Lady is, or how she is connected to Raynham Hall.

The first sighting was reported in 1835 by a house guest, Colonel Loftus. He actually viewed her twice. He said she was wearing a brown satin dress and had only black empty sockets for eyes.

Another sighting was made by Captain Frederick Marryat. He inten- tionally slept in the "haunted room," but instead caught a glimpse of the Brown Lady in an upstairs hallway. His description was the same as Loftus', except this time the Brown Lady was carrying a lantern. Marryat happened to have a gun with him, and fired point-blank at the figure. The bullets, of course, passed right through the ghost.

The ghost was not reported again until 1926, at which time it was viewed by two little boys. In 1936, the famous photograph was taken by photographers Captain Provand and Indre Shira during a shoot for the magazine Country Life. Shira saw the ghost on the stairs, and instructed Provand to take a picture. [Note: In The Encyclopedia of Ghosts, Daniel Cohen notes that this photograph could have been easily faked. It is a fascinating picture nonetheless.]

Types of aliens

There are so many alien races that are believed to exist, but mainly there are just a handful that are reported time and time again. Here are short descriptions of some of the most well known species.

The Grey's

The descriptions of the grey aliens are basically all the same. They are all reported as being small, averaging 3-4 feet in height, and very thin, with a very fragile appearance. Their heads are very large compared to their frail bodies, with very large black eyes that appear to be slightly slanted.

Two small openings for a nose, and a very thin slit for a mouth. Abductee's report that they have never seen teeth. They also don't appear to use their mouth for vocalization. Instead they reportedly use some kind of telepathy for communication.

Even though the greys appear to be very weak, they have significant telepathic powers that can force an abductee to remain immobile. While they have been known to communicate with their abductee's, they never give out vital information, such as their agenda for the abductions, and the tests.

Some believe that the greys are using humans to create a human/alien hybrid. Abductee's have claimed to have been shown small alien-like babies and were told that the baby is theirs.. and to hold it. Most abductee's are enraged and do not want anything to do with the hybrid babies.

The basic type of greys are considered the "workers". They seem to be the one's who do most of the physical testing during the abduction process. There are also larger Grey's who are believed to be the leaders. They are typically at least 6 feet tall, and their gaze can induce intense emotions in the abductee.

They are believed to absorb food and expel waste through their skin, and because so, have been reported as very foul smelling creatures. Their arms are very long and thin, and their legs are very short. They are believed to be from the Zeta-Reticuli star system - 39 light years from Earth.

Moon Landing Hoax

I had originally posted this on the main page of paratracker.org.. but doing updates, I decided to move it to this area. There have been many interviews on this particular sighting and it is now believed to be a hoax..

Unexplained Lights - Were They Flares??

PHOENIX -- Strange lights appeared above the Valley sky in formation on Monday night. Witnesses said the lights formed a vertical line, then a diamond shape, followed by a u-shape.The lights reportedly moved from side to side and upward before disappearing one by one. ABC 15's Christopher Sign learned the largest UFO investigative group is now investigating the incident. The Mutual UFO Network, known as MUFON has more than 6,000 field investigators worldwide who investigate reported UFO sightings. "There's a number of things those lights could be," said MUFON investigator Jim Mann.

Mann and another investigator in Mesa say they will begin talking to witnesses and gather detailed information from what they saw. "I always try to debunk sightings and I can't debunk it, then I know I've got something on my hands," said Mann. MUFON investigations can last a matter of minutes to several weeks. Mann says he and fellow investigator, Stacey Wright, are currently looking into several other UFO sightings across the valley that have all taken place in the daylight hours.

ABC15's Jon DuPre talked to one north Phoenix man late Tuesday afternoon who said he watched his neighbor launch four helium balloons with flares attached to them right before the mysterious lights were spotted. He said he believed this could be the source of Monday night's sightings. ABC15 knocked on the door and talked to that neighbor, who then said he didn't launch the flares, and instead it was another neighbor several doors down.

A Phoenix police helicopter pilot also witnessed the lights and described them as resembling flares. FAA officials told ABC15 on Tuesday that air traffic controllers in the Sky Harbor tower saw the lights, but noticed nothing on their radar, meaning it was not an aircraft.An official with the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) said they checked with their command center that monitors the skies to see what is entering the Earth's atmosphere. They have no reports of anything entering the Phoenix area.

ParaTracker is not an investigative group, rather, just one individual who has been transformed by paranormal activity. My name is Michelle, and I have been interested in the paranormal since I was a small child. I once lived in a house that I had no doubts was haunted.

Things of the paranormal seemed to overshadow my entire life, so I guess it's only natural that I have wanted to expand my knowledge on the topic. I opened up Paratracker.org almost a year ago, and have been looking for ways to make it more interactive, so others can share their stories with us. I have met several good friends throughout the paranormal community, and I hope to share what I've learned with others.
